Mangia! Mangia!

The above photo was one of the first of Micro eating solids (rice cereal) way back when. Over this past weekend we enjoyed hanging out with good family friends and their kids at Fondue Fred in Berkeley, located in a small outdoor plaza off Telegraph. It was challenging keeping the kids in line. Thankfully we ate outside (to save those poor patrons from the noise our little ones made) and that too, proved to be a bit difficult. Though the bright lights and fresh air made a nice distraction, so did all the open space for the kids to run around and explore. The food was ok and nothing quite like the delicious food found at La Fondue in Saratoga. But it was an excuse to get together and they were very accommodating to our large party and putting up with our wee ones.

It got me thinking as Micro is growing up so quickly, to start taking advantage of some of those kids eat for free meals. If your child is a fan of pasta (who isn't?), Pasta Pomodoro offers kids eat free on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. for Northern California locations. Score! I know there are plenty of restaurants that offer similar deals, and since we're all waiting for the economy to bounce back, feel free to share some other info below.
