early morning stretches with Mommy
I'm finally in my second trimester and boy does it feel much better. I have my energy back (given I'm not running around chasing Micro) and the nausea is pretty much subsiding (not completely gone-but almost). I've been looking forward to this time of the pregnancy. It's when I can be most active and feel at ease--physically speaking.
As this pregnancy progresses, I find it really hard to still process we'll have another child to take care of. It's getting a bit harder to carry Micro around (and I hate having to lug the stroller around unless absolutely necessary--call me inept or lazy). So I know at some point, I'll have to choose my battles with him about having to be held by mommy.
We have plenty on our plate this year and as April rolls around, our social calendar gets packed very quickly till the end of summer (where we get a small break). Finding time to de-stress and keep a leveled head is something I work on everyday. Fresh air and stretches in the morning always help. This time around, I've taken up pre-natal yoga. Originally I thought it would help ease my morning sickness and help me clear my mind and loosen my joints--but it's provided camaraderie with other expecting moms and I've learned of plenty of different ways to deal with labor in holistic and relaxing ways. Since my yoga teacher was also a nurse for 20 years, she helps me better understand all the changes going on in my body and how better to take care of myself both mentally, emotionally, and physically. I wish I had done this class the first time around.
