Twenty 12

**ok, this post should've been posted so two weeks ago, but better late than never, right?
I like a bowl of lemons. It signifies refreshment, nourishment, and cheer. Like a new year.

Happy New Year everyone!! Wishing all of you a fruitful, prosperous, healthy, and happy 2012! Twenty 11 certainly brought many memories filled with joy and sorrow. Milestones were reached and new adventures await us in the future. We celebrated one year of living in our first home. That in and of itself, was pretty memorable. We moved in on December 31, 2010 and celebrated the arrival of 2011 amid cardboard boxes, an infant, a toddler, a dog, a cold house, and cold showers. Quite a start. I lost my beloved Lola in February, a reminder of how precious life is and how important it is to live each day as a good, loving, and responsible human being. I brought the kids to their first amusement park, Gilroy Gardens, became Godparents to an adorable baby boy with the prettiest blue eyes this side of the US, began potty training my preschooler, and watched my baby girl turn into a toddler. 2011 kept this mama very busy.

So what's in store for 2012? How much more can this next year top some of the most memorable moments of years past? Life always finds a way. I've decided to continue with Bootcamp (yes, I've become a sucker for pain), intend on doing my 4th half-marathon, watch my oldest begin preschool (getting choked up here), and hopefully, God blesses me with some professional luck ;) Mr. Fliz and I have been together for 8 magical years at the time of this posting. I can say, we've created many beautiful things, and raising a family with him has been the best. We're starting the year off, like always, busy. We've got a two-week trip to the Philippines coming up quickly.

I'm grateful for all the ups and downs 2011 has brought, because each of those experiences has taught me something valuable about myself and life. Thank you God for all your blessings. Another fresh start. Thanks for still believing in us.
