The weather around here is slowly creeping into cooler temps and it's starting to get darker a bit earlier. I know sunny days will soon be replaced. A few weeks ago, we celebrated Micron's 2nd birthday with a few of our close playgroup friends and a last "hurrah" for summer. We had cheese pizza, cheesy garlic bread, fresh berries, some pancit, and homemade brownies with a candle on top for Micron to blow out. Of course we'll continue the playdates, but we know Fall is right around the corner and in our little part of the universe, it seems it might come early. They forecast plenty of rain. Playground days are coming to an end.
As Summer dwindles, here's my list of things to do before the sunshine morphs into cloudy skies and windy days.
- Afternoon bike rides with the kids
- Impromptu picnics along our lagoon
- Enjoying our pool and hot tub
- Feasting on the remainder of summer fruits and freezing them for the fall/winter
