I wanna be a billionaire…so freakin' bad

Sing it Bruno Mars.

Ain't that the truth for all of us, even those already in this category. We want more, more, more. It's sad, but painfully true. I'm not saying money solves anything, but it helps go a long way. Such as, I wish I could afford to hire a nanny just for a few months, as I have an extremely busy first half of the year.

My year is starting off strong and busy. What else could you expect. My baby sister is getting married in a few months. Though this union has been in the works for like, FOREVER, I'm busy organizing and planning her shower and bachelorette party. It's payback time honey, and those naughty nights in Vegas have come back to haunt me…(what? this isn't water?..omg, it's straight vodka…in my defense, I blame this totally on the bachelor party that invited us to their VIP table and the water and vodka bottle looked so similar…but I was so far past sober)--ohh those days! Here I am, married mom of two, embarking with some young, pretty things to Sin City. Be Afraid. My bestie and I have not done a girl's getaway in AGES. We are way overdue! But I'm excited for my sissy's big day and want to support her in anyway I can.

Life is busy in our household once again as Mr. Fliz tackles the last of the CFA tests, and the kids and I are busy doing our things. My not-so-littlest dude is getting ready to transition out of TK and start Kindergarten next fall and we're busy trying to figure out if we'll stay at our current school or go elsewhere (we are blessed to choose from two outstanding nearby schools). It's a tough decision and Mr. Fliz and I are starting on a new journey with Micro. It's one of those parenting decisions that  give me a lot of anxiety, but I shouldn't stress too much about it, but I do. You want to start them off on the best road possible, but there are so many factors to think about, it overwhelms us.

Micro is signed up for T-Ball and we're in the process of having Micron do ballet. Our raised garden is DOING SO WELL!! It's growing abundantly and we are excited for it to come to fruition! I will post pics soon.

I have not disappeared into oblivion, sorry for the lack of posting this January. I will get better as the days go on. But right now, I'm just enjoying unbelievable warm winter days with my kiddos. Hope you're finding some sunshine in your days.

Fresh Beginnings

Belated Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all of you! Happy New Year as well! My goodness it's been awhile. The holiday season has kept us very busy, as I'm sure all of you as well. We enjoyed plenty of quality time with a visit from grandparents from the East Coast, and from loved family and friends.

Though at times I felt overwhelmed, I still managed to keep it somewhat together and enjoy this festive season. I'm still in denial that it's over already. Boo! Boo! As I reflect on the previous year, I am extremely grateful for the wonderful people in my life. Without them, it would feel empty and lonely. They are blessings.

I will savor all the little moments that make up such an amazing and wonderful year. My babies are getting bigger and older and this year, we have so much to look forward to. I only ask that God continue to bless my family and I in good health. I look forward to creating many more lasting memories full of love and joy with old and new friends, spending more time with my baby sister as she begins a new journey in her life, and enjoying my family (here and overseas).

To everyone out there in this gigantic world, I wish you more joy, another year full of fearlessness, and to take time to nurture all the precious little moments in your daily life, keep spreading the love.

Below are some Holiday pics taken by iphone. I'll upload better pics fr my DSLR later.
Pardon the low lights and blurriness. Excitement makes me a jittery photographer ;)

Quality holiday time with the grandparents. Priceless.

Miley, you're not the only one misbehavin' on a "wrecking ball"

Ugh! Pardon those bare white walls (cringing right now), but check out the growing pile of presents as our party wore on. Two years ago, we timed gift opening--it came out close to 3 hours...not this year! Speedy Santas!
