wishing you a special MOMent (thank you Elizabeth Arden for that concept)

The wedding is done, my family visiting have left, and life goes on. It's rare that I find myself here, in front of our computer, writing this snippet, part of my 30-minute stress-free MOMent from an otherwise, hectic everyday life.

These MOMents are rare and precious and though short, I still find some relief in sharing them with all of you. Yup, in the past three or so weeks, I've been a busybody. A walking, rarely-makes sense, sort of woman that had little time to focus on the ordinary and the simplicity. The beautiful MOMents that whooshed right by me. I was in the thick of helping my sister navigate the last few weeks of her singledom and putting up with a lot of unnecessary and uncalled for stress. But I survived, and in this quiet after-moment, I'm realizing what warriors Moms are.

My own Mom has a warrior spirit in her and often I forget or take for granted what she has accomplished. Being a mother now, I have so much gratitude for all the Moms before me who have sacrificed their precious MOMents to tackle their jobs, chauffeur their kids to and fro, listen endlessly to complaints and ungrateful beings, cook a special meal, dole out hugs like it's nobody's business, kiss away boo-boo's, and know how to savor the few seconds of utter silence. Warriors, I tell ya.

Wishing all the women, young and old, who are mothers in whatever capacity, a beautiful Mother's Day. May you all find your MOMent of joy and love.

Celebrating with loved ones my MOMent last week.
